Mahiti Loka is a connected community knowledge platform and directory specifically built for Karnataka and India. It bridges information across five core pillars—Places, People, Organisations, Businesses, and Events—empowering citizens and community contributors to document public information accurately.

Registered contributors can click "+ Contribute" in the main navigation or visit /contribute/. Select the appropriate pillar, provide key details (name, location, contact, operating hours, description, and up to 6 gallery photos), and submit. Your submission will immediately appear in your My Mahiti workspace and enter the community moderation queue.

For the first 72 hours from the exact creation timestamp, the original creator has complete autonomous control to directly edit or permanently delete their submitted listing or public update. Once the 72-hour window elapses, the record enters permanent directory archival protection to preserve historical and community citations. After this period, you can still submit a Deletion Request with reasons for editorial review.

Every new contribution starts with an "Under Review" status. Mahiti editors and community verifiers cross-reference submissions against official sources, geo-coordinates, and public records. As submissions are verified, trust badges are awarded (e.g. Mahiti Verified, Community Reviewed), elevating the record's visibility and credibility across search results.

If an entity page on Mahiti Loka represents your enterprise, educational institution, or non-profit trust, you can submit an official claim request via our Contact Form under the "Entity Correction / Claim Request" category. Our team will verify your authorized representation (via official email or business documentation) and transfer contributor management rights to your account.

On any published Place, Person, Organisation, Business, or Event page, click the "Suggest a Correction" button in the sidebar or tabs. You can propose corrections to opening hours, contact phone numbers, addresses, or descriptions without needing administrative privileges.

Yes. Mahiti Loka is 100% free to browse, search, and contribute to. It is operated by Tech SathyA as a digital public utility and community directory.

Mahiti Loka offers community-relevant sponsored placements to support platform sustainability. All commercial placements are clearly disclosed with a prominent "Sponsored • ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿತ" badge in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Sponsored partners have no influence over editorial trust ratings, fact-checking reviews, or organic search indexing.
